Starting from the theme of new energy, new countryside and new life, we base our house on traditional Jiang Nan dwelling. River Sunvelop, combined with modern architecture, features in an integrated solar roof. River Sunvelop is expected to become the green modeled house for new rural construction and idyllic villa for vacation, thus having preeminent market adaptability.
River Sunvelop, which meets the goal and requirements of the development of society, economy and environment in urbanization process, is intended for people living in the new rural area in South China. The combination of Chinese traditional architecture and renewable technologies provides a distinctive dwelling as well as a vacation rental that attracts an emerging group that values land, environment and life quality.
The design of River Sunvelop is highlighted with the balance between Jiang Nan-style and modern architecture as well as the balance between costs and benefits. It could be easily duplicated by scaled factory production. Therefore, River Sunvelop would be attractive and acceptable in Jiang Nan area.
Target market: Southeast China including Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu (primary); Other southern provinces (secondary).
In order to meet contemporary life requirements and preferences of different people as well as maximize space utility, we take advantage of reconfigurable furniture. We could easily change limited space into family cinema and dinner party room by changing the location and shape of furniture. For instance, we use separate sofa, folding table and mobile folding screen.
The house is surrounded by water, with a pool in the southeast, white sand (a metaphor of water in traditional culture) in the north, and river-like road in the west.
The main source of inspiration comes from traditional Chinese poems, with highlights on a combination of curves and straight lines as well as an integration of hardness and softness. We are intended to bring you a masterpiece of Chinese landscape by emphasizing the spatial design. Narrow and winding roads are employed to give you the desire to explore the hidden main views.
By breaking through the boundaries of the site, we introduce the view of pear garden into our design. The doorway in front of the building is to present more elements in the hierarchical structure and more highlights in the leak through scenery. Meanwhile, as framed scenery, it makes different interpersed spaces to menetrate with each other and form an integrated opening one.
